Local development by FEICOM: bringing the cause of malnutrition to the municipalities. This is the mission entrusted to the Special Fund for equipment and intercommunal Intervention by the head of the ministerial department in charge of commercial issues .It was the 19 August 2020 in Yaoundé during the signing ceremony of the Framework Partnership Agreement MINCOMMERCE / FEICOM.
It is for Mincommerce through this gesture to give Feicom the opportunity to pool its efforts, in order to accompany local development in Cameroon. This is in response to his request for the establishment of a collaboration platform. According to Philippe Camille Akoa, the Director General of Feicom, this agreement : "will allow us to pool and strengthen our expertise and resources in the fields :studies, assistance to the project management, strengthening the capacity of CTD, the exchange of information on our respective activities, support the process of transfer of competences and resources to municipalities and regions, the development of programs and projects in the trade sector, the research of financing ".
The operationalization of this Convention will take place through a three-year action plan. Recall that this signing of the Framework Convention comes a few days after the designation by the Helen Keller International Foundation, the Dg of FEICOM as ambassador of Nutrition 2020 with the mission to mobilize the necessary resources to strengthen the fight against malnutrition. "FEICOM through my voice intends to bring the cause of malnutrition to the municipalities, so that this issue is taken into account in the budgets and that resources can be mobilized in everything that will be planned at the level of the municipality" said the Minister of Commerce. And Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, to add that the Framework Partnership Agreement signed is in line with the decentralization process, with the anchor point the organization of local trade exhibitions and the implementation of construction, equipment, maintenance and market management projects.
